Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: A Great Ukrainian is the One who felt, accumulated and implemented Ukrainian Spirit
During his working visit to Cherkasy region, Volodymyr Lytvyn expressed gratitude to the people who keep and accumulate the national spirit and work in Bohdan Khmelnytsky museum in Chyhyryn town.
In the book for honourable guests V. Lytvyn wrote: "Here one is able to feel the Ukrainian history and Ukrainian historical tread."
During the conversation with the journalists, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared that in Chyhyryn museum he satisfied himself of the fact that Bohdan Khmelnytsky "is a great Ukrainian". He believes that Ukrainian TV program that has chosen the great Ukrainians should have been made in Chyhyryn. "In such case we would have proved the obvious fact - Bohdan Khmelnytsky is a great Ukrainian", - he emphasized.
V. Lytvyn is convinced that "a great Ukrainian is the one who felt, accumulated and implemented Ukrainian spirit."
"A great Ukrainian is a person whose deeds and contributions are essential in the present times despite the years passed, - the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared and added A great Ukrainian is the one who felt, accumulated and implemented Ukrainian spirit, consolidating the people."
V. Lytvyn laid flowers to the monument to B. Khmelnytsky.
